Spatial Displacement of a Single Brain Metastasis after Corticosteroid Treatment and its Impact on Stereotactic Radiosurgery Planning and Delivery

Int J Radiol Radiat Ther 2017, 4(2): 00091 target shape or anatomic location between the time of imaging and the time of treatment planning and delivery. Intra-cranial targets are generally considered fixed and motionless. Therefore, it is unusual to see significant migration of an intra-cranial target. Herein, we report the case of a patient with significant brain tumor displacement secondary to the effect of pre-SRS corticosteroids, which could have potentially resulted in a significant treatment miss-delivery.
